Yeap the floppy is seen by. Yeap I did both. I tried a known good floppy drive and then a good cable.

Sign up for a new account in our community. I have tried the F6 to load drivers; I used both the blue cable and the black drivers.
You have obviously followed all the right steps. The thing I do not understand is why the floppy light stays on after hitting F6 to load third party drivers.
Downsides are that you’ll lose the IDE controllers, but at least in my case that’s no contest. I have made a few computers in my time but this MB is a real pain in the rump!
When I try to raid 2 of my hard drives, 2 x gb maxtors, using matrix, not marvellthe BIOS loses my DVD burner in the “Boot” section towards the right satq of the BIOS menu, although the burner still appears as a drive under the drive section. Tried doing, I did most of what you replied with.
I found this thread, which gives some ssata with some commands to try: Press C to Create a Partition. The drives are partitioned and the floppy cable only goes on one way because of the notch in it.
I read through some old posts and it appears they stopped working around 4. Anyway something else to think about. I will just add a bit to it. A couple of thoughts.

As soon as I drop the raid designation and flip these drives to “IDE”, the burner again shows up in the boot menu. You will now get another screen that will allow you to Create or adjust the size of the Partition. Track this discussion and email me when there are updates. Good suggestion by aries. No problems with anything, BIOS found all drives and the other drives. Remove hardisk after shutdown. Now install windows when you place this hardisk back into it’s MB. sara

The BIOS, it comes with two floppys and both are good. Saat makes it impossible to boot from the Vista disc in the dvd burner. I checked the floppy disk on another computer and worked great, I used a known good floppy drive with the same results, I used another known good floppy drive cable.
